About Us - Re-Stair

Re-Stair is a specialty stair and rail contractor serving the Mid-South, providing residential, commercial, and industrial stair and rail systems built with precision and integrity.

We design, fabricate, and install staircases, railings, and landings using wood, iron, glass, and cable systems — both interior and exterior.

OUR ROOTS

Re-Stair began with one man, a garage, and a commitment to excellence.

In 2016, Dan Neal founded what would become Re-Stair with a simple conviction: if his name was attached to the work, it had to reflect his very best. Dan built the company on integrity, craftsmanship, and faith in Jesus Christ.

In 2018, Dan hired the father-and-son team of Ken and Steve Carter. Over the next two years, he poured decades of home improvement experience into them — not only teaching technical skill, but modeling discipline, character, and stewardship in business.

In November of 2019, Dan was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. He passed away in January of 2020, holding firmly to his faith in Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life. His influence remains foundational to the culture and standards of Re-Stair.

In August of 2020, Ken and Steve officially purchased the company and committed themselves to continuing what Dan began: doing excellent work, serving customers with integrity, and honoring the Lord through their craftsmanship.

WHERE WE ARE TODAY

Today, Re-Stair serves homeowners, builders, and commercial clients across the Mid-South.

Some projects require laser measurement and CNC-produced components for precision fabrication. Others call for skilled on-site modification and carefully sourced custom stair parts. The approach depends on the complexity of the project — but the standard remains the same.
